Eating while stressed or multitasking, or when your attention is not focused on the food, can lead to indigestion due to inadequate chewing. Mindful eating, on the other hand, helps support proper digestion, allowing you to absorb the necessary nutrients from the food for both the body and the mind, while eliminating toxins. Here are some tips for practicing mindful eating:

Shivaratri is on the dark night before every new moon. Shiva, a high-ranking demigod in Hindu mythology and yoga, wears a moon on his head because of his role in the story associated with the waning and waxing of the moon. Picture
Samskara, as with most Sanskrit words, has several context driven meanings in Indian philosophy. Samskara is what we are referring to when we say we are “repeating the same pattern.”

Yoga Nidra, although known as yogic sleep, is not actual sleep, but a trance of awareness. It is a state of mind between wakefulness and dream, a practice that allows you to access deeper levels of mind, right down to the unconscious, while remaining conscious.

During the practice of Yoga Nidra, your intellectual or conscious mind is operating, but the deep relaxations allows the doors of the subconscious to open as they do during sleep.
