Would you like to attend Lotus Room yoga classes in Malta, but you’re not sure how to go about it? We answer your most frequently asked questions about practising yoga at the Lotus Room.
Are the classes suitable for beginners or advanced practitioners? Lotus Room yoga classes are suitable for absolute beginners as well as experienced practitioners and everyone in between. Each pose is explained and demonstrated in varying degrees of difficulty and each practitioner is encouraged to maintain the pose according to his or her level, advancing progressively at their own pace with practice and experience.
When are yoga classes held? Please refer to our complete schedule of yoga classes. Duration of each class is one hour.
How much do classes cost? We want to encourage you to take up yoga as a lifestyle as opposed to an hour you spend at a yoga class once a week. This comes with regular practice and we have designed our pricing schedule to encourage you to attend classes as often as you can. Prices are per session unless otherwise indicated.

When may I get started? Sessions at the Lotus Room are on-going and you may join our classes at any time during the year. We usually pause for a short break in August and over Christmas.
Do I need to book a place? Yes, booking is required for all classes since spaces are limited and we would regret having to turn you away.
How do I get started? We recommend that you start with ourYoga Foundation for Beginners workshop, which is held monthly. During this workshop, students work on their mind-body connection, flexibility, strength, balance and coordination through basic asanas (postures).
How often should I attend? You will notice the difference in your state of well-being by attending yoga sessions even just once a week, however, we recommend you practise yoga 2-3 times a week or daily. In fact, our pricing schedule is designed to encourage you to attend classes regularly. Start at a pace that you can keep up and gradually build on.
What should I bring? Bring your own yoga mat, as it helps you connect with your personal yoga practice and it is also more hygienic. We sell various colours of yoga mats at the Lotus Room. Neti pots, books and other items are also available for purchase. DO NOT bring your mobile phone into the class; kindly turn off your phone before entering.
What should I wear? We recommend wearing loose, unrestrictive clothing. Cotton and natural fibres are best to allow your skin to breathe.
May I eat before a yoga class? For your own comfort and best practice, ideally you should come to the class on an empty stomach.
What if I’m late for a class? We suggest that you arrive at least five minutes before the start of a class, giving you enough time to unwind and so we can begin together as a group. If, in exceptional circumstances, you arrive within the first 5-10 minutes of the class, please do not to disturb the other students when entering.
